The Millennial Producers Academy (MILPA) is an innovative program that will provide digital media arts production training, entrepreneurial skills and cultural agility development to young adults between the ages of 18-28.

In addition to receiving instruction in the creative and technical aspects of digital media production, participants will also be paired with local local community, social justice, health, cultural and advocacy organizations. Participants will learn how to produce projects, such as fundraising videos, program documentation, citizen journalism, PSA’s, podcasts and documentaries about issues facing their communities.

MILPA will connect participants with real world job training via workshops led by professionals from the film production, media, gaming, tech, real estate and legal video sectors. This will provide critical access and pathways to high-earning 21st Century jobs.

Participation is free, and selected participants will agree to provide volunteer video documentation services for a local non-profit or community organization as part of the program. The Millennial Producers Academy (MILPA) is made possible by the Investing in Tomorrow Organizational Grant from the Center for Cultural Innovation with support from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
